  • "Well at the young age of 43 myself I find it sad that you at the age you are has to hide behind a keyboard and call the manager names and be negative like you are and the minority of some of our other fans , like you so say , with the squad small , all the injuries , if your a FAN don't you think then this is the time to get behind the team AND the manager . You sound like your showing your age in your posts , a bit older , fickle and very bitter .,"

Oxford Mail: Portsmouth set to choose Richie Barker as new manager Portsmouth set to choose Richie Barker as new manager

Portsmouth are expected to announce Richie Barker as their new manager.

The ex-Crawley boss is understood to be the south coast club's preferred choice to take over as boss according to sources.

It means that Chris Wilder will remain as Oxford United manager after he was interviewed for the position this week.

Pompey's seven-man board voted late last night on their No 1 candidate and it is believed Barker will be unveiled shortly, with Steve Coppell joining in a director of football role.
