Jalal's Oxford United loan cut short
SHWAN Jalal’s loan at Oxford United has ended early after parent club Bournemouth recalled the goalkeeper this afternoon.
The 30-year-old joined the U’s on a month-long deal three weeks ago after Max Crocombe was ruled out with a shoulder injury.
He provided back-up to Ryan Clarke and has been an unused substitute for the last three games.
Jalal was due to remain until after the clash with Northampton Town on October 12, but Bournemouth were forced to act after their No 1, Ryan Allsop, was sent off in the 2-1 defeat at Leeds United last night.
Fortunately it will not leave United with a problem, as Crocombe is due to return to full training tomorrow. He is expected to return to the squad for Saturday's home game against Southend United.
