Didcot Town 0 Oxford United 3
TYRONE Marsh struck twice to give Oxford United's development side a comfortable victory at Didcot Town.
Triallist Dylan McGlade scored the visitors' other goal and only smart saves from goalkeeper Gareth Tucker and his replacement Kieran Beesley prevented a more emphatic scoreline.
United made a bright start, with Aidan Hawtin and McGlade impressing on the flanks.
McGlade, who came through the youth ranks at Middlesbrough, laid on the opening goal in the 13th minute, crossing to give Marsh a simple header.
Didcot thought they had equalised moments later when Harry Halls headed in Taylor Janes' free-kick, but it was ruled out for offside.
Marsh grazed the crossbar with a volley, before McGlade made it 2-0 with a mazy run and deflected shot just before the half hour mark.
Max Crocombe had a quiet night, but made an excellent parry to keep out Mike McKirnan's free-kick on the stroke of half-time.
Hawtin, who deserved a goal for his first-half display, struck the post five minutes after the break.
United eventually added a third, when Marsh collected substitute Greg Hackett's cross and slammed a finish into the net on 71 minutes.
James Roberts came close to making it 4-0 late on, but Beesley made a superb one-handed stop, much to the young striker's frustration.
