FOOTBALL: Pitson treble halts Railway

THE big derby in Division 1 was decided by a Craig Pitson treble, as King & Queen Wheatley won 4-2 at home to leaders Railway Wheatley, writes TIM SIRET.
Michael Kent struck their other goal, while Dan Fraser and Dan Smith were on target for the visitors.
Both sides are part of a top three level on points, but Railway stayed at the summit thanks to goal difference.
Jimmy Deabill smashed five goals as Red Lion Islip came from 3-0 down to win 7-3 at home to Northway Boys & Girls.
Ryan White, Lewis Colwell and Liam O’Sullivan put the away side in control, before Adam Wells pulled a goal back from the penalty spot.
Deabill then took centre stage, with Wells completing the tally with his second goal.
Oxford Sports & Social Club edged closer to the Premier Division title with a 5-3 win at Jericho.
They trailed to goals from Kyle Pullen and Sonny Akram, but Aaron Armstrong and Stuart Cattell levelled.
Sam Crothers edged Jericho back in front, before goals in the final 15 minutes from Tommy Heyday and Piers McGlynn (2) sealed a seventh successive victory, which sent them eight points clear.
David Murphy and Aaron Stockford bagged doubles as Dorchester United went second with a 6-2 home win over Yellow Eagles.
Max Palmer and Luke Saunders also netted for United, while Lee Rendell and Rob Padbury notched for Eagles.
The Tree Grove ran riot to stay top of Division 2 with a 14-1 mauling at hosts White Horse Abingdon.
Tom Eatwell, Rob Joyce and Adam Bruce all hit trebles and Ollie O’Hanlon grabbed two.
Tom Bennett, Matty Pedder and Jonny James also got in on the act.
Shane Roche claiming Horse’s consolation.
James Titler grabbed a four-timer in Sporting Headington Academicals’ 6-0 home win over ten-man Checkendon Exiles.
Ghilas Lounis completed the scoring with a brace.
Northway B&G Res also hit a half-dozen in a 6-1 success against Forest Hill, who were playing at home as their opponents’ pitch was unplayable.
Joey Beauchamp (2), Shawn Augustine, Adrian Cox, Martino Ventriglia and Bilan Khan all found the back of the net.
Lewis Gerring replied for Forest.
Freeland Yeoman won 5-1 at Sutton Wanderers.
Danny Taylor led the way with a double, while Ethan Simlett, Jake Halsey and Harry Irwin also scored.
Chris Stringer hit the Wanderers’ goal.
AFC Brightwell were the big winners in Division 3, thrashing hosts Abba Athletic 9-3.
Louis Chainey hit a hat-trick, Charlie Silkstone claimed a brace, while Matty Holtom, Jack McLaughlin, Louis Rice Wilson and Toby Arup also scored.
Abba hit back through a James Probbitts double and one from Craig Fisher.
