Amanda Osurobo heads in a late winner for Oxford City Under 11s against Kidlington Amanda Osurobo heads in a late winner for Oxford City Under 11s against Kidlington

AMANDA Osurobo hit a second-half double as Oxford City beat Kidlington 2-1 in their Oxford Mail Girls League Under 11 Cup clash.

Played on City’s 3G artificial surface, the game was the only one to beat the weather.

After dominating the first period, City were forced to go into half-time at 0-0 after Kidlington keeper Charlotte Wilkes made several fine stops.

But Osurobo made the breakthrough after the restart.

Kidlington instantly upped their game and deservedly grabbed an equaliser through Lauren Smith.

But with only minutes remaining, Osurobo got the winner.

The City girl ran towards goal and although her first effort was saved by replacement keeper Polly Hipkiss, she was able to head in the rebound.
