FOOTBALL: Deadly duo lift Oakley

Ben Moses and Shayne Almond scored a hat-trick apiece as Oxfordshire Senior League Division 1 leaders Oakley United handed basement boys Enstone Sports a 13-0 home defeat.

James Keeble and Aaron Rogers scored doubles with Nick Gurney, Chris Davies and Martin Kynsey completing the rout.

Goals from Damian Rigozzi, James Taylor and Tom Hoskins saw Watlington boost their survival hopes with a 3-1 win at Broughton & North Newington, for whom Aaron Lowe replied.

Defender Mark Tyler bagged a brace for Middleton Cheney in a 5-1 home win against North Oxford.

Adam Creaney, Anthony Powell and Alex Harris got their other goals, with Tim Mungai replying.

Adderbury Park Res eased to a 3-1 victory at Marston Saints Res, thanks to goals from Tom Green, Louis Wittworth and Kyle Forbes.

Max Rothwell replied.

Patrick Gardener scored the winner as Stonesfield closed to within two points of Premier Division leaders Oxford University Press with a 2-1 comeback victory at Adderbury Park.

The hosts took the lead through a Jake Smith strike, only for Nick Higgs to level.

The visitors sealed the points shortly after the break when Gardener scored after a well-worked move.

Jason Darling netted a double as Launton Sports stormed to a 4-2 victory at Kennington.

Andy Gledhill fired Launton ahead before Darling doubled their lead.

Darling made it 3-0, before Rob Cattell got one back.

Mark Scanes bagged No 4 in the second half, and although Cattell completed his double with a penalty, it was in vain.

Matty Holton scored the winner as Bletchingdon as he sunk his former Marston Saints teammates in a 1-0 success.

John Ramsey bagged a brace for North Oxford Res as they won 2-0 at OUP Res in the second round of the Clarendon Cup.

Jamie Liland scored a late winner as Kennington Res edged to a 4-3 win at Watlington Town Res in the first round of the Ivor Gubbins Cup.

Goals from Robbie Collins and Sam Carter-Knight put Watlington 2-0 up.

But Kyle Lewis clawed one back, before a double from Stewart Dunham – the second a penalty – gave Kennington a 3-2 advantage.

Watlington’s Tommy King looked to have taken the game to extra time, only for Liland’s long-range strike to send Kennington through.
