Woodstock Wanderers finished with nine men as they caused a big upset with a dramatic 3-2 extra-time victory at home to Division 1 side Brightwell in the Critchleys UTV League's Devenney Cup second round, writes TIM SIRET.

The Division 3 hosts took the lead through Ryan Doran’s free-kick, before Dan Keeler equalised.

Despite having Grant Gaertner sent off, Woodstock took the match into extra time.

Ashley Skinner restored Woodstock’s lead, but teammate Nathan Laws took his celebration too far, receiving a second yellow card to leave Woodstock with nine men.

Keeler made it 2-2 for Brightwell, who then had Tom Morgan sent off for a second caution, and Doran snatched an unlikely victory for Woodstock.

Johnny Eudell grabbed a hat-trick as Division 2 leaders Tree Grove beat Iffley Harriers 7-0.

The hosts’ other goals came from Robert Joyce (2), an Ollie O’Hanlon penalty and Josh Cottrell.

Sporting Headington Academicals took advantage of the tie being switched to their own ground to hammer Standlake Garage 7-0.

Tim Wright (2), Ghilas Lounis (2), James Titler, Peter Little and Max Burton did the damage.

Premier Division side Barton United were relieved to come away from Division 3 hosts North Oxford Conservative Club with a 7-4 win.

Aaron Williams scored four times for Barton, whose other goals came from Andy Pepperell-Gray, Dan Richmond and Jamie McCuaig. Andy Potter netted a treble for North Oxford, with Chris Douglas also on target.

Chris Stringer hit a hat-trick in Sutton Wanderers’s 6-0 win at Abba Athletic, with Andrew Conway (2) and Chris Kent completing their tally.

Ten-man Kidlington Royals battled back from 3-0 down to earn a 4-4 draw away to Kings Arms Wheatley in an amazing Premier Division match.

Tom Payne's double and Jay Hill’s free-kick looked to have settled it for Wheatley, especially as Royals had striker Denel Thomas sent off.

In the second half, Royals turned the game on its head to lead 4-3 after a brace – including a penalty – from Ryan Curtin plus goals from Lewis Coyle and Jelroy Constant, only for Benji Cuff to drive home a last-gasp leveller.

Kyle Pullen celebrated his AFC Jericho debut with a treble in a 6-1 win at Yellow Eagles. Kamen Matthews, Josh Hughes and Kieron Gallagher also scored for Jericho, with Lloyd Little replying for Eagles.
