FOOTBALL: Didcot edge to derby victory

DIDCOT Town won a close Oxfordshire derby in the Evo-Stik Southern League with a 1-0 home victory against North Leigh tonight.

The hosts dominated the first half and forced ex-Didcot keeper Sam Warrell into a number of diving saves before Pablo Haysham converted Jamie Heapy’s cross with a header from six yards.

Morgan Williams and James Clark both went close in the second half for Didcot, while they kept it tight at the other end.
