OXFORD United’s treatment room is empty for the first time this season as they prepare to face Rochdale with a fully-fit squad.

The club’s medical team have been kept busy through the campaign, but long-term absentees Curtis Nelson and Rob Hall are now back in the squad.

And manager Karl Robinson joked he was happy not to need to spend much time talking with United’s head of sports science Andrew Proctor.

He said: “Procs walked in and normally he’s Doctor Doom, but he said ‘nothing to report’ and then walked out.

“When everyone’s fit I don’t speak to him.”

The end of the season is now only a week away, but that does not mean United are scaling back on the training ground.

On the contrary, Robinson said: “The players have probably had one of the most physical weeks.

“We had a running day on Tuesday and it’s important they understand just because you win a game of football it doesn’t mean your mentality should change.

“I’m a big believer in performing to the best of your ability, regardless of the situation you’re in.”

With United still needing a point to be certain of avoiding relegation, Robinson is not planning on experimenting with selection, although last week’s match-winner James Henry is pushing for a start.

Dale’s top-scorer Ian Henderson misses the game as he completes a four-game suspension following his second red card of the season.
