THE Oxfordshire Senior Cup final will be held at Thame United's ASM Stadium later this month.

It marks a change in venue for Oxford United's meeting with North Leigh from the Kassam Stadium, which normally hosts the Oxfordshire FA's showpiece occasion.

The initial plan was to play the game after United's final game of the season, on April 30.

But scheduled renovations for the pitch, which has caused the U's problems in recent months, forced a re-think.

It will now be held in Thame on April 25 (7.45).

A statement from the OFA read: "We were informed that due to planned future works for the pitch, the Stadium was not available for us to hire this season.

"We understand and respect the decision and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship with the Kassam and to holding our Senior Cup Final and our Annual Awards Evening there again in years to come.”
