LAUNTON Sports winning start in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division came to an end as they suffered a 5-3 defeat away to lowly Garsington.

The home team were well worth the three points as a lacklustre Sports failed to hold on after taking the lead three times.

Launton, who were never in control of the game, scored through Ben Cooke (2) and Jayden Davies.

But the pacy Garsington attack, who looked dangerous on the break, kept cutting through the visitors’ defence.

Launton entertain high-flyers Freeland at home in the league cup on Saturday.
