CUMNOR 2nd were relegated after losing a closely fought tussle with fellow strugglers Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd.

Graham Flower (55) and Joe Shillaker (46) (pictured) helped Cumnor reach 174 before being bowled out in their final over. Andy Smith did most of the damage, taking 6-65.

Gus Shrimpton (5-32) then kept Cumnor in the hunt, but Mark Burfoot (31) and Richard Jenner (30no) steered Town to 177-8.

Horspath 2nd were outplayed at Cublington, but did enough to avoid defeat and stay top of the table.

Greg Jenkins scored exactly 50 and Daniel Catt chipped in with 39 as the home side amassed 254 before being bowled out in their 53rd and final over.

Mohsin Rana took 4-61 and Andy Cummings claimed 3-52.

Jenkins (3-14) and Ben Sim (3-38) put Horspath behind the required rate, but Chris Jones hit 38 and the visitors settled for a draw on 169-7.

Great & Little Tew 2nd’s promotion chances all but evaporated when they failed to beat Buckingham Town 2nd in a rain-affected match.

Andy Thatcher (68), Harry Scarr (37) and Alex O'Dell (30) put Town in the driving seat as they closed on 185-7 from 41 overs.

Tew’s reply spanned only 19 overs, during which they were reduced to 85-8 by Anant Peshavaria (4-36) and Matt Thatcher (3-37).

Stokenchurch were denied an easy win at Oxford 3rd by a sudden downpour.

Requiring 188 to win, the visitors were 172-1 with Arshad Latif 107 not out and Joe Brown (40) the man out when rain stopped play.

Earlier Paul Maddock had bowled beautifully to take 7-76 and so bowl out Oxford for 187. Aaron Huish was undefeated on 75 when he ran out of partners.

Oxford 3rd 8, Stokenchurch 10

John McGrady (64) and Matthew Neilson (51) helped Hanborough reach 189-9 from an innings reduced to 49 overs. Wallingford off-spinner Mark Carey claimed 5-46.

The visitors were 55-0 from 16 overs when heavy rain forced an early finish.
