CUMNOR 2nd won for the first time this summer by beating Hanborough at home.

The visitors were well set after Matthew Neilson scored 75 against his former club in Hanborough’s 208-8.

But the home side hit back through George Glew (77) and James Fitzjohn (74) as they reached 209-5.

Ben Denton took 7-70 to set up Wallingford’s four-wicket win at Buckingham Town 2nd.

Matt Thatcher made 38 before Russell Thompson (40no) added some late impetus in Town’s 184-7.

Rob Sessions (36) helped hold together the visitors’ reply, then Colin Allen (49no) finished the job.

Horspath 2nd maintained their lead at the top by winning at Stokenchurch.

Mark Skelton and Ben Henderson both finished with 3-26 in the hosts 140 all out, despite Stefan Read’s 36 and Jack Sears’s 32.

Skelton then top-scored with 38 in the visitors’ 141-5.

Second-placed Cublington gained some breathing space over Great & Little Tew 2nd when they squeezed past their promotion rivals by three wickets with three balls remaining.

Tew were bowled out for 172 by Greg Jenkins (5-32) and Ben Sim (3-42).

Kevin Taylor then took 4-67 and Josh Garrett 3-83 to put Cublington under the cosh, but Bill Burton (59) and the tail saw them to 178-7.

Miles Picknett hit a magnificent 158 for Oxford 3rd, who declared on 307-4 after only 48 overs against Leighton Buzzard Town 2nd.

Adam Hall (60) and Alex Morgan (49no) also shone.

Dave Roberts hit 58, but Nick Massey took 3-34 as Town were all out for 149.
