DAVID Taylor (83no), Nick Tarrant (67), Dave Eaton (64) and Dave Clark (37) helped leaders Horley amass 320-6 at home to Challow & Childrey 2nd. Conor Jones persevered to take 3-69.

The visitors had no answer to Darren de Bruyn (5-22) and Pete Papenfus (5-25) and were all out for 86.

Didcot stay second after winning at Horspath 3rd, who edged closer to the relegation trapdoor.

The hosts crawled to 117 all out from 52.3 overs as Julian Hitchman (5-37) and David Slade (4-10) were in complete control.

Didcot then eased to 118-4 from 30.2 overs.

Abingdon Vale 2nd stay in the promotion picture, but nearly blew their chances at basement boys Brackley.

Luke Mitchell (5-20) bowled beautifully to dismiss Brackley for only 128, which would have been even lower without James Timmis’s 51.

Vale then struggled against Keith Cartwright (4-33), but just about scrambled their way to 129-9 with one over to spare.

Assif Hussain (67) and Andrew Stevens (36) were the mainstays of Banbury 4th’s 158 all out from 50 overs at home to Thame Town 2nd.

Ian McStay (4-34) was the pick of the visitors’ attack.

Adil Hussain then took 5-81 and Stevens claimed 3-52, but Richard Carr (40no) held his nerve to steer Thame to 160-8 and a two-wicket victory.

Neil Smith (4-19) and Nathan Brooks (3-23) joined forces for Tiddington 2nd to dismiss Kimble for only 97.

Brooks then hit an unbeaten 30 as the visitors eased to 99-4 inside 30 overs.
