BANBURY left-hander Craig Haupt returns from injury for Oxfordshire’s Group 1 match against Hertfordshire at Oxford Downs on Sunday (11am).

Haupt looked like missing most of Oxon’s one-day campaign when he broke a bone in his elbow after making a century in the warm-up game against Buckinghamshire three weeks ago.

But he is now fit and is the only change in the Oxon side, from the one originally selected for the washed-out Group 1 game against Cornwall a fortnight ago.

He replaces off-spinning all-rounder Jack Taylor, who is required by Gloucestershire, where he is on the staff.

Oxfordshire will be facing a much-changed Hertfordshire line-up, which no longer includes their former all-rounder Jamie Hewitt and the talented player Aaron Laraman.

The competition has been dogged by bad weather, with only one completed game in the two weeks.

Luckily for Oxon, last weekend's wash-out coincided with their scheduled blank weekend, so they have lost just one game to the bad weather.

Their remaining Group 1 games after Sunday are against Bedfordshire at Cople on May 13 and against Devon at Challow & Childrey on May 20.

This is the first time Oxford Downs, whose ground is in Standlake, have staged a competitive Oxfordshire first-team game.
