CRICKET: Oxford away to Thame in cup

Oxford have been handed a tough trip to Thame Town in the Bernard Tollett Oxfordshire Cup first round on Tuesday, June 5 – after falling at their first hurdle last season.

With the previous season’s semi-finalists seeded into the last eight, the city’s premier club find themselves having to scrap it out from the start this time, having lost to eventual winners Shipton in the quarter-finals last term.

And they have been given the hardest round one draw possible with an away game at fellow Home Counties Premier League club Thame.

Shipton are joined by Banbury, Great & Little Tew and Aston Rowant as the four quarter-final seeds.
