CRICKET: Rowant's Sunday double

The Bernard Tollett Oxfordshire Knockout Cup finals day will take place on Sunday, organisers have confirmed.

Semi-finalists Aston Rowant had hoped the event could be postponed as their last 16 tie in the npower Village Cup is on the same day.

But the semis and final will be played at Bicester & North Oxford, starting at 11am.

Rowant are now expected to field a youthful side to face Shipton, with their clash against Miskin Manor, near Cardiff, the priority.

Oxford or Horspath, who play tomorrow, will face East Oxford in the first semi-final, while Rowant take on Shipton-under-Wychwood in the second.

The final is scheduled to start at 2.30pm.

Shame. That decision devalues the competition as far as im concerned. I'd be surprised if they get a side up at all.
