Minster Lovell gave defending champions Cowley Internationals a stern lesson by romping to a 133-run victory in their OCA Division 1 opener.

A youthful Minster side posted 216-6 in the clash at Wheatley as Ed Dunn hit 68 and Connor Tinsley made 50 not out.

The total proved way beyond last year’s champions, who were skittled out for a paltry 83 with George French taking 5-12.

Stonesfield began their first season in the top flight with a four-wicket home win against Oxenford.

George Redknap, with 51 off 60 balls, and Tim Wyatt (48) led Stonesfield to 201-6 as they chased down Oxenford’s 199-8, for whom Arunvinay Prabakaran hit 58 not out.

Westbury romped to a 152-run win at Chadlington after rattling up 259-5.

Former Banbury coach Paul Atkins led the way with 75, before Andy Clarke took 4-18 and Richard Tredwell 3-18 in Chadlington’s 107 all out.

Great Horwood’s 237-6 proved beyond hosts Charlbury as they won by 93 runs.

Matt Thatcher top-scored with 73, and then Haydon Morrison took 4-21 to help dismiss the home side for 144.

Radley came away from Shrivenham with a three-wicket win.

Atif Liaqat took 4-51 in Shrivenham’s 159 all out, before Radley reached 160-7 as Matt Launchbury scored 47.

Clifton Hampden ran out two-wicket winners at home to Garsington in Division 2.

Alistair Slay’s 4-29 and Laurence Harvey’s 3-23 helped dismiss the visitors for 167, and the match went down to the wire, with Harvey hitting a straight six with four balls to spare to seal victory.

Chipping Norton edged out hosts Broughton & North Newington by one run in another nail-biter.

They had been dismissed for 151 as Stuart Morgan took 5-38.

But it proved just enough as Broughton could manage only 150-9 in their reply for the narrowest of defeats.

Faringdon saw off Witney Swifts by 23 runs.

The home side posted 199-4 with Luke Bowerman (77no) and Nigel Hume (62) starring.

Nick Giles then claimed 3-22 to restrict Swifts to 176-7.

Marsh Gibbon’s Sat Vadivale had a fine day to help his side to an exciting seven-run win at Wantage.

He top-scored with 44 in Marsh Gibbon’s 177-6, before claiming 3-43 in Wantage’s 170-9, for whom Colin Mercer hit 97.

Abdullah Khan smashed a superb 155 not out to lead Westcott to a crushing 163-run home win against Chesterton in Division 3.

Westcott amassed 268-8, before Alimar Khan took 4-18 as Chesterton were shot out for 105.

Fringford’s decision to bat first on a tricky pitch at Watlington proved the correct one as they beat their hosts by 75 runs.

Fringford posted a competitive 160-9, Rob Gascoigne top-scoring with 36, before Sanjeewa Jayakody took 5-29 as Watlington were shot out for 85.

Matthew Neilsen (66) and Marc Buckingham (51) helped Hanborough to 191 all out at Cairns Fudge, who fell 38 runs short.

Steve Shaw took 6-24 for Fudge, who were then bowled out for 153, despite 68 from Andy Campbell and 56 from Tom Small, Martin Oliver taking 4-41.

Wootton & Boars Hill defeated hosts Eynsham by 97 runs.

Shaun Morton top-scored with 86 in Wootton’s 207 all out, and then Alex Lord took 4-14 to dismiss Eynsham for 110.

Wolvercote cruised to an eight-wicket win at Tetsworth.

Three wickets apiece for Barkat Ahmed, Rhys Davies and Robin Madden helped to dismiss Tetsworth for 68, before Wolvercote eased to 72-2.

In Division 4, Mykel Ryan’s 5-60 was in vain for hosts Kilkenny as they fell to a 49-run defeat against west Oxfordshire rivals Hailey.

The visitors were all out for 208, Sean King top-scoring with 40, before Chris King (3-34) and Dan King (3-36) restricted Kilkenny to 159-8.

Martin Clutterbuck took 7-46 as West Witney romped to a nine-wicket win at home to Risinghurst in Division 5.

Clutterbuck’s haul helped to dismiss Risinghurst for 166, despite 51 apiece for Martin Kalyan and Gaurav Samuel.

Greg Inge then hit 95 not out and Rhys Jones 56 not out as West Witney eased to 167-1.

In Division 6, former Horspath wicket-keeper Andy Wynd (56no) steered his old club, Brill, to a nine-wicket win over visitors Broughton & North Newington 2nd.
