CHIPPING Norton 2nd crashed to one of the lowest scores ever recorded in the OCA League at home to Oxenford 2nd in Division 6.

Oxenford struggled to 126 all out, only Devendra Meena (50no) mastering the conditions.

But Chippy crashed to an embarrassing total of 10 all out as Richard Rowley (6-2) and Waqas Mir (4-7) ran through the card.

Only three players got off the mark, with the other eight all recording ducks – No 11 Martin Elliott top-scoring with a masterful four!

Kidlington 2nd edged out hosts East & West Hendred 2nd by four runs in a high-scoring thriller.

Andy Oliver smashed 115 not out, Jonathan Pratt 54 and Nick Jeacock 52 as Kidlington racked up 258-6.

Hendred got to within four runs of the target as Liam Richards hit 88 and Ian Clewley 70.

Shrivenham saw off visitors Charlbury 2nd by 27 runs.

Steve Bowles (88) and Scott Winskill (53) led Shrivenham to 252-9 in their 45 overs.

Andy Glass then hit 94 not out in Charlbury’s reply, but they finished short of the target on 225-5.

In Division 5, Combe returned to form with a 34-run win at home to Wolvercote 2nd.

Hosts Combe posted 232 all out as Mark Westerby hit 101 and Robbie Nicholson was finally dismissed for the first time this season for 44 – taking his batting average to 489.

Wolvercote made a good fight of their run chase, but fell to 198 all out as Toby Shelley top-scored with 61.

Leaders Hook Norton brushed aside hosts Ducklington by seven wickets.

Jordan Glazier (4-29) and Richard Knight (4-55) helped to dismiss Ducklington for 128, Joe Fullerton hitting 56.

Hooky then eased in at 129-3, Adam Bennett top-scoring with 34 not out.

Hailey & West Witney saw off visitors Steventon by 33 runs.

Batting first, Hailey set 185 all out, Chris Thompson hitting 70 not out and Glen Willett taking 4-5.

Nigel Walker then claimed 4-27 as Steventon fell to 152 all out in reply.

Kennington eased to an eight-wicket win against visitors Great Horwood 2nd.

Dennis Fellows took 4-9 to help skittle Horwood for 95, and then Graham Rowley (42no) led Kennington to 96-2.

Division 7 leaders Yarnton & Cowley 2nd saw off Kilkenny 2nd by 141 runs.

Deepak Malhotra (77) top-scored in Yarnton’s 223-8, before Saqib Hussain took 4-6 as the home side were shot out for 82.

Stanton Harcourt 2nd saw off visitors Witney Swifts 2nd by five wickets.

After restricting Swifts to 162-8, Stanton eased to 163-5 as Declan Wastie hit 69 not out.

Josh Evans took 6-14 to help Middleton Cheney 2nd to a ten-wicket win at Stonesfield 2nd.

The hosts were all out for just 46, before Ben Ream (33no) led Middleton home in the eighth over.

Division 8 North leaders Charlbury 3rd won at Westcott 2nd by 13 runs.

Jim Astle top-scored with 48 as Charlbury set 191-8, and then Paul Jenkins returned 4-20 in Westcott’s 178 all out, Gary Ellis top-scoring with 63.

Hook Norton 2nd’s James Ingham hit 74 not out to steer them to a six-wicket win at home to Kidlington 3rd.

Wolvercote 3rd eased past Deddington 2nd by 107 runs.

Phil Walsh top-scored with 60 in Wolvercote’s 204-7, before Deddington slumped to 97 all out.

Division 8 South leaders Letcombe were too strong for hosts Sunningwell 2nd as they eased to a seven-wicket win.

Jerry May took 3-27 as Sunningwell were bowled out for 84, before former Sunningwell player Robin Himpson (30) led Letcombe to 86-3.

Chris Rudling struck an excellent 129 and Mike Ottrey 70 to help Dorchester to 278-4 at Marcham 2nd.

Marcham were then dismissed for 113, Ian Ferris taking 3-3.

Steventon 2nd’s Rushikesh Deshmukh took 6-11 as Steventon 2nd edged a low-scoring clash with visitors Watlington 2nd by 16 runs.

Steventon had been shot out for only 78, but Deshmukh’s haul sent Watlington tumbling to 71 all out in reply.
