Nick Ferraby scored his second successive league century, but Oxford had to settle for a draw in their Division 1 match at Tring Park.

Ferraby came to the crease with Oxford, who lost the toss, in trouble at 5-2 in the tenth over, following the dismissals of Jason Harrison and Dan King.

Stewart Laudat and Ferraby added 124 for the third wicket before the former was caught and bowled by Keith Dutch for 69 with the score on 129 in the 37th over.

Jamie Perkin did not last long, but Ferraby and Ian Crosby then put on 122 for the fifth wicket before Ferraby was run out for 122, which came off 159 balls with two sixes and 11 fours.

Crosby’s 56 off just 68 balls helped Oxford to reach a formidable 272-7 from their 66 overs.

Tring openers Peter Handscomb and Leigh Tomlinson added 85 for the first wicket in 22 overs, while Tomlinson and Dutch then put on 50 in 11 overs for the second wicket.

After 33 overs, Tring were in the hunt at 135-2.

But after Dutch was out for 52, Oxford kept it tight and the run rate rose to nine an over.

So Tring settled for a draw on 227-6.
