Thame Town 2nd continued their electrifying start by beating Didcot in the shadows of the power station.

Richard Carr (51) and Carl Sellwood (50) helped Town post 206-9, then Ian McStay took 4-31 and Gary Porter 4-37 as the hosts were bowled out for 181.

The resistance from Chris Parsons (36) and Henry Brisland (30) was not enough.

Banbury Twenty 2nd’s blend of youth and experience was unable to put together a decent score as they fell to 75 all out at Tiddington 2nd.

Ian Pykett took 4-13 from seven overs, while John Ponsford finished with 3-9 from 12 – his three wickets all falling in the same over.

Nick Edmondson (43no) saw Tiddington to a ten-wicket win and leave Twenty pointless.

An unbroken third-wicket stand between Adam Goldberg (94no) and Pip Webb (60no) earned newcomers Cublington maximum points at home to Banbury 3rd.

Earlier, Justin Lambden had top-scored with 65 in the visitors’ 182 all out, which also featured good performances from Howard Sayers (3-30) and Jon Waugh (3-56).

Justin Penrose plundered 91 in Challow & Childrey 2nd’s 230-8 against Brackley, who replied with 191-5.

Cropredy 2nd had no answer to the Horspath 2nd attack, crashing to 124 all out.

The visitors found batting rather easier, cruising to 126-4.
