DIVISION 1 leaders East & West Hendred won a thrilling clash with Great Horwood by one wicket to stay top of the table.

Visitors Horwood batted first in the OCA League clash, but an excellent spell of bowling from Kashif Rashid (6-34) restricted them to 194-8 in their 45 overs, Sam Willett hitting 60 and Dale Armitage 53.

Hendred’s reply got off to a shaky start, but an 84-run stand between Jack Mulford (85) and Andy Francis (66no) took them within touching distance.

Hendred eventually edged home in the final over of a thrilling contest to win by one wicket.

Charlbury stayed second with a 55-run win at home to Stonesfield.

Atif Liaquat took 5-46 to restrict the hosts to 158 all out, but 4-26 from Bim Liyanarachchi and 3-31 from Stuart Atkins helped to dismiss Stonesfield for 103.

Faringdon cruised to a six-wicket win at Yarnton & Cowley.

Yarnton were all out for 144, Ahmed Muaz hitting 64 not out and Mike Hume taking 5-30.

Faringdon eased to 145-4 to seal victory as Ian McDowall and Rob Brown both hit 35.

Witney Swifts marched on at the top of Division 2 with an 18-run victory at Clifton Hampden.

Charlie Fisher hit 101 and George Seacole 96 not out to lead Swifts to 254-4.

Clifton chased well, but ultimately finished short on 236 all out, Fisher returning 5-36 and Seacole 3-58.

Damien Wiskin had a great day for second-placed Wootton & Boars Hill, leading his side to a 75-run over visitors Westcott.

Wiskin struck 105 not out to steer Wootton to 262-4 in their 45 overs, before returning figures of 6-66 to help dismiss Westcott for 187, Tanveer Hussain top-scoring with 51.

Marsh Gibbon’s Joe Leonard was the star of the show as his terrific 134 helped his side to a 119-run win at Wantage.

The visitors racked up 294-7 thanks to Leonard’s ton.

Nathan Callow then claimed 3-31 as Wantage were bowled out for 175.

Sam Hanson claimed 5-25 to help Division 3 leaders Middleton Cheney to a seven-wicket win at home to Cairns Fudge.

Fudge were all out for 140, Andy Small scoring 66.

Ryan Markham then struck 72 to steer Cheney home at 142-3.

Risinghurst kept up the pressure with a six-wicket win at Stanton Harcourt.

Ripon Masih claimed 6-28 to help dismiss Stanton for 143, Joel Graham hitting 53.

Martin Kalyan, who had earlier taken 3-45, then scored 88 to lead Risinghurst home at 147-4.

Fringford rued their decision to bat first at Watlington as they were skittled out for 49, crashing to a ten-wicket defeat.

Brill leapfrogged visitors Bampton into second place in Division 4 when running out eight-wicket winners.

West Ilsley thrashed Marcham by the same margin.

Leaders Dorchester eased past hosts Uffington by seven wickets.

Tight bowling held the home side to 165 all out, before Conor Graney (50no) and Richard Sharman (41) helped Dorchester to 166-3.

STEVENTON’S Mithun Sortur hit a brilliant 107 to help his side to a 59-run victory over visitors Wolvercote 2nd in Division 5.

Sortur and Glen Willett (55) helped Steventon to 236 all out, Matthew Lardner taking 4-39.

Wolvercote fell for 177 with Lalit Chablani taking 5-31.

Hailey & West Witney edged out visitors Britwell Salome by three runs in a thriller.

Omer Tariq top-scored with 49 in Hailey’s 209-9, Neil Lawrence claiming 4-48.

Sean King then took 4-32 as Britwell fell just short on 198, despite 52 from Ali Khushi.

Combe suffered a massive setback as they crashed to a seven-wicket defeat at home to Radley.

Without their talismanic batsman Robbie Nicholson, Combe stumbled to just 85 all out, allowing Radley to ease to 87-3 for a comprehensive victory.

In Division 6, Martin Elliott returned outstanding figures of 8-21 to help hosts Chipping Norton 2nd to a 12-run victory over Wootton & Boars Hill.

Earlier, Chippy had been dismissed for 130, but Elliott’s haul saw Wootton shot out for 118 in their reply.

Leaders Shrivenham defeated visitors East & West Hendred 2nd by nine wickets.

After restricting Hendred to 153-8, Steve Bowles (50no), Manoj Perera (49) and Alex Bowles (42no) saw Shrivenham to victory.

Yarnton & Cowley 2nd took over at the top of Division 7, seeing off hosts Chesterton by four wickets.

Saqib Mohammed (4-35) and Waheed Rehman (3-7) shone to dismiss Chesterton for 122, before Adnan Khan hit 52 in Yarnton’s 128-6.

Stanton Harcourt 2nd beat hosts Stonesfield 2nd by four wickets.

Scott Hambridge claimed 5-29 in Stonesfield’s 187 all out, and then Jason Fuller (71) and Jake Souch (51no) saw Stanton over the line at 188-6.

Ben Horne’s fine figures of 6-54 were in vain as Witney Swifts 2nd lost by 38 runs at home to Middleton Cheney 2nd.

In Division 8 South, Cameron Welsh (94no) and Simon Clark (51no) saw Uffington 2nd to a nine-wicket win at Dorchester 2nd.
