KASHIF Rashid starred as leaders East & West Hendred eased to a 118-run victory at home to Stonesfield in Division 1 of the OCA League.

Rashid scored 59 not out as Hendred set 267-7, Jack Mulford (51) Michael Shortis (43) and Jon Francis (43) were also in the runs.

Stonesfield were never in the hunt as Rashid took centre stage, returning superb figures of 6-19 to restrict the visitors to 149-9.

Charlbury’s Stuart Atkins hit 67 to help his side to a 23-run over visitors Oxenford.

James Taylor (5-48) helped to restrict Charlbury to 187 all out, despite Atkins’s knock.

Taylor then hit 41 not out in Oxenford’s reply, but they were restricted to 164-9.

Wolvercote eased past Great Horwood by six wickets.

The visitors posted 161-8 as they made hard work of setting a competitive target.

Mark Child (73) and Ben Proctor (37no) then led Wolvercote to 163-4.

George Seacole and Charlie Fisher both hammered centuries as Division 2 leaders Witney Swifts made it five wins from five with a 129-run triumph at Eynsham.

Seacole smashed 145 and Fisher 126 as Swifts amassed a huge 334-4 in their 45 overs.

Chris Bowles (52) led Eynsham’s reply, but 3-12 for Fisher and 3-36 for Seacole saw the home side dismissed for 205.

Keegan Collier’s century helped Westcott to a 155-run win at Chadlington.

Collier (103) and Paul Cherry (64) shone in Westcott’s 280-7, which was way beyond the home side, who were dismissed for just 125.

There was also a century for Wantage’s Nick Burton as his team beat visitors Clifton Hampden by 61 runs.

Burton hit 110 in Wantage’s 275-6, David Spencer chipping in with 64.

Clifton finished on 214-7 in their reply.

Marsh Gibbon saw off hosts Wootton & Boars Hill by 31 runs.

Joe Leonard top-scored with 57 in Marsh Gibbon’s 223-8, Billy Webb taking 5-43.

Jack Ulyatt struck 87 not out in Wootton’s reply, but they closed on 192-8 thanks to Nathan Callow’s 4-42.

Chipping Norton ran out 81-run victors at Broughton & North Newington.

Yvo Macfarlane hit 70 in Chippy’s 202-8, Stuart Walton returning fine figures of 5-4.

But Broughton never got close, being dismissed for 121, Rhys Warner-Carter (4-37) the pick of the Chippy attack.

In Division 3, a fine innings from Tom Small (134) set Cairns Fudge on their way to 250-6 and a 97-run victory at Watlington.

Middleton Cheney saw off hosts Hanborough by six wickets.

Sam Hanson’s 4-31 helped to dismiss Hanborough for 168, Matthew Neilsen hitting 50.

Shazad Ayub then scored 77 to lead Middleton to 169-4.

Ramu Vellayappan’s 98 not out helped Risinghurst to a 61-run win over visitors Kidlington.

Risinghurst posted 212-8 in their 45 overs, before Selvam Raman

(5-26) shone with the ball as Kidlington were all out for 151.

Stanton Harcourt edged past visitors Tetsworth by two wickets.

Andy Walker took 4-35 in Tetsworth’s 204 all out, Stanton replying with 209-8 to secure victory.

Adrian Redhead’s century for Dorchester was in vain as they lost by three wickets at Marcham in Division 4

Redhead hit 106 in Dorchester’s 201 all out.

But then Thomas Mooring and Oliver Deans both hit 53 to steer Marcham to 204-7.

Three wickets apiece for Ady Brooksbank (3-8) and Julian Easterbrook (3-21) helped Bampton dismiss visitors Sunningwell for 58.

Richard Pitt then struck 40 not out as Bampton cruised to 59-1.

Deddington thumped hosts Swinbrook by 101 runs.

Gerard Duncan scored 77 out of Deddington’s 172 all out, Mark Reed taking 5-45.

Swinbrook then slumped to 71 all out in reply, Lewis Bletchley taking 3-3.

Andy Wynd’s 6-66 was not enough for Brill as they crashed to a 143-run defeat at West Ilsley.

Dan Simmons top-scored with 73 in Ilsley’s 231-9, before Ralph Taylor (4-2) and Patrick MacKenzie-Charrington (4-36) combined to dismiss Brill for only 88.

In Division 5, Kennington ended Combe’s 100 per cent record with a four-wicket home win.

Russell Vircavs took 4-17 as Combe set 197-8, Josh Lenthall top-scoring with 79.

Graham Rowley’s 89 not out then led Kennington to 198-6.

Wolvercote 2nd’s Richard Oliver hit 109 but finished on the losing side as Ducklington ran out 18-run victors.

Jacob Hughes (66) and Kane Lewis (41) saw Ducklington to 229 all out, Neil Sadler taking 5-53.

Oliver’s century got Wolvercote close, but Lewis claimed 4-48 to help restrict the visitors to 211-9.

Neil Lawrence’s outstanding figures of 8-14 from 7.2 overs helped Britwell Salome to a ten-wicket win at Great Horwood.

Lawrence’s haul meant Horwood were shot out for just 48, Britwell knocking off the runs with ease.

Abdur Rasheed Khan claimed 5-15 as Radley defeated hosts Hailey West Witney by eight wickets.

SIMON Steer’s 7-23 proved key as Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd beat hosts Tetsworth 2nd by 18 runs in Division 6.

Wootton posted 157-7, before Steer’s seven wickets then saw Tetsworth dismissed for 139, Reggie Isaac hitting 51.

Richard Deacon claimed 5-25 to help Shrivenham to a six-wicket win at Chipping Norton 2nd.

East & West Hendred 2nd eased to a 68-run win at Faringdon 2nd.

Ian Clewley’s 61 saw Hendred set 166-7 and then William Bennett took 5-24 in Faringdon’s 98 all out.

Division 7 leaders Chesterton were too strong for visitors Stanton Harcourt 2nd, posting a 127-run win.

Ed Vickers (65) and Daren Trinder (62no) saw Chesterton to 223 all out, before Paul Davis took 4-42 and Jimmy Appleton 3-26 in Stanton’s 96 all out.

Kilkenny 2nd ran out 35-run winners at Stonesfield 2nd.

Gary Doggett top-scored with 44 in Kilkenny’s 163-9, and then Duncan Macdonald took 4-7 as Stonesfield were bowled out for 128.

After 40 years of club cricket, veteran Mike Ottrey scored his first league century as Dorchester 2nd thrashed visitors Kennington 2nd by 191 runs in Division 8 South.

Ottrey racked up 101 not out in Dorchester’s 256-3, Chris Rudling chipping in with 79.

Ian Phillips (4-26) and Lawrence Belcher (3-13) then combined as Kennington were skittled for 65.

There was also a maiden league ton for Colin Thorpe as Sunningwell 2nd beat Steventon 2nd by 75 runs.

Thorpe hit 105 and Andrew Barrett 53 not out as Sunningwell rattled up 223-6.

Richard Smith then claimed 6-45 as Steventon were bowled out for 148 in their reply.

Rama Garimella returned outstanding figures of 8-16 to help Watlington 2nd to a seven-wicket win at Uffington 2nd.

Uffington were all out for 108 as Garimella ripped through the order.

Chris Allen (61no) then led Watlington to 109-3.

Letcombe’s Alex Simms took 5-26 in 12 overs as his side restricted Marcham to just 91-8 in their 45 overs.

Letcombe then reached 92-5 for a five-wicket win.

In Division 8 North, Asif Khan claimed 6-29 to help Risinghurst 2nd to a seven-wicket win at Westcott 2nd.

Kieran Reynolds also grabbed a

six-wicket haul as Charlbury ran out narrow four-run winners at Deddington.

Charlbury had been skittled out for just 71, but Reynolds then took 6-21 to dismiss Deddington for 67.
