OXFORDSHIRE began their 2017 campaign with back-to-back friendly defeats to Sussex Academy at Blackstone, near Chichester.
On Saturday, Jonny Cater’s side fell to a three-wicket defeat.
A third-wicket partnership of 59 between Jordan Garrett and Lloyd Sabin was Oxon’s highlight as they were all out for 137.
Sussex chased down Oxon’s total in the 41st over.
On Sunday, the hosts set 218 from their 50 overs, but the visitors faced an uphill battle as injuries to Joe White, Ollie Wright and Hendrick Robyns left them with only nine batsmen.
Oxon eventually fell to a 105-run defeat.
