CLIVE Ricks has resigned as chairman of the Cherwell Cricket League.
Ricks has been a member of the management committee for ten years, serving the last six as chief.
He cited personal reasons and the vastly increased workload caused by committee decisions being challenged by clubs as the principal reasons for his decision to step down.
A statement from the league said: “It was with much regret that the committee accepted his resignation.
“Cricket in the Cherwell League and surrounds owes him a debt of gratitude for his many years of loyal work.”
Dick Giles will act as interim chairman until the league’s annual meeting in November.
