FARINGDON and Minster Lovell claimed victories as the Division 1 title race looks set to go down to the wire.

They go head-to-head in two weeks time, but 15 points separate the sides with a handful of games remaining.

Faringdon remain clear after they posted an emphatic 83-run victory at Radley.

Once again it was the Nigel Hume (110) and Rob Owen (104) show as Faringdon posted 295-6.

Bilal Ali (66) and Shoaib Ahmed (60) shone in Radley’s reply, but 4-30 from Ben Marks and 4-41 for Alex Robinshaw dismissed them for 212.

Minster, who have a game in hand, edged out title hopefuls Shrivenham by one wicket, with just four balls remaining.

The home side set 222-8 as Charan Chahal hit 98.

Archie Spittles then scored 57 and Eddie Dunn 63 not out as Minster edged home at 224-9.

Chipping Norton’s Dave Brassett scored 121 not out to help his side to only their second win – a 28-run success at home to Yarnton & Cowley.

Wolvercote went top of Division 2 after cruising past Chadlington by eight wickets.

Barkat Ahmed (3-21) and Rhys Davies (3-22) combined to dismiss the hosts for just 103, and Wolvercote raced to 106-2.

Wootton & Boars Hill fell to an 82-run defeat at Witney Swifts.

Josh Grant top-scored with 58 in Swifts’ 162-8, but the star of the show was Charlie Fisher, who took 6-41 as Wootton were skittled for just 80.

Broughton & North Newington emerged one-run winners at home to Wantage.

Olly Evans (50), Richard Harper (41) and James Taylor (40) helped Broughton to 220-8, Tim Weekes claiming 5-48.

Wantage looked in good shape as Ian Challand top-scored with 67 and James Mabbett hit 51.

But Huw Moseley (4-48) pegged Wantage back, and they were bowled out one run short.

In Division 3, Joel Graham’s ton helped Stanton Harcourt to a 106-run win over Marcham.

Graham hit 122 out of Stanton’s 244-9, Stuart Armstrong claiming 4-34.

Ryan Wastie then claimed 5-22 as Marcham were shot out for 138, Armstrong hitting 50.

Risinghurst need just one more victory to wrap up the Division 4 crown after a two-wicket win at Minster Lovell 2nd.

Rakesh Nambiar took 3-27 to restrict the home side to 144-8.

Satish Yakkalakot then hit 56 and Gaurav Samuel 53 to lead Risinghurst to 145-8.

Martin Key played a starring role for Uffington in their 17-run win at Dorchester.

Uffington posted 197 all out, Charlie Harris top-scoring with 61 and Key hitting 30.

Key then claimed 6-36 as Dorchester fell to 180 all out.

Bampton are hot favourites for the Division 5 crown following a four-wicket win against Hook Norton.

Simon Launder took 3-11 as Hooky were bowled out for 153, Melvyn Riley hitting 58.

Jake Payne (60no) led the way in reply as Bampton reached 154-6.

Brill’s slip-up at Garsington means they are now 32 points off the pace.

Andy Wynd took 4-32 to dismiss the hosts for just 124, but Brill crashed to 92 all out as Ozair Malak took 4-36.

Britwell Salome hammered visitors Great Horwood 2nd by 195 runs.

Steve Strong (87) and John Chittenden (67) led Britwell to a formidable 250-4, which was way beyond Horwood, who fell for just 55.

Kennington were too strong for hosts Charlbury 2nd in a 139-run win.

Graham Rowley and Ben Andre both hit 74 in Kennington’s 270-7, before Russell Vircavs claimed 4-26 as Charlbury were bowled out for 131.

Wolvercote 2nd secured the Division 6 title, despite being held to an exciting tie by Kidlington 2nd.

They batted first and were all out for 116, but veteran Jim Blackford took figures of 5-21 for Kidlington as Wolvercote were dismissed for exactly the same score.

Khalid Hussain took his first five-wicket haul as Oxenford 2nd beat visitors East & West Hendred 2nd by seven wickets.

Hussain’s 5-33 dismissed Hendred for 86, before Seshadri Nadathur hit 48 not out in Oxenford’s 90-3.

Ducklington’s George Townsend took 6-11 to help his side to a crushing nine-wicket win at Hanborough 2nd to stay clear at the top of Division 7.

Townsend’s haul helped to dismiss the hosts for 78, before Jacob Hughes (43no) led Ducklington to 79-1.

Uffington 2nd beat visitors Kilkenny 2nd by 30 runs.

Cameron Welsh (77no) and Ollie Clarke (53) shone in Uffington’s 226-5, before Martin Taylor returned figures of 6-64 in Kilkenny’s 196 all out.

In Division 8, Risinghurst 2nd closed the gap on leaders Stanton Harcourt 2nd with a 78-run win against Sunningwell 2nd.

Mark Salter (79) led the way in Risinghurst’s 240-6, Dom Whinfrey taking 3-41 and Pete Whinfrey 3-66.

Geoff Corps then hit 54 in Sunningwell’s reply, but they were way off the target, closing on 162-8.

Division 9 champions Chesterton made it 12 wins from 12 with a crushing 220-run success over visitors Charlbury 3rd.

Alfie Appleton hit 95 and Pete Talbot 87 in Chesterton’s 262-4, and then Daren Trinder took 4-15 as Charlbury were skittled out for just 42.

OXENFORD 2nd saw off Hook Norton by 15 runs to lift the Steve Dixon Memorial Cup at Fringford on Sunday.

Batting first, Oxenford posted 173-8, David Sloan top-scoring with 31.

Richard Rowley then bowled tidily, taking 3-28 to help dismiss Hooky for 158 and secure the trophy for Oxenford.
