DEBUTANTS Toyi Durotoye and Ashley Johnson were the stars as Radley won their opening match in the new joint Southern Athletics League at Horspath.

Radley clinched their Division 2C clash by more than 50 points, with Durotoye and former Oxford City man Johnson breaking a series of records.

They also top the standings as their 230.5-point total was the highest across the three Division 2C meetings.

Durotoye clocked 10.52secs to claim both the club and league marks in the 100m – both of which had stood at 10.7. He also broke the Division 2 200m record with his 21.75.

Ashley Johnson won the 110m hurdles in 14.56 to again take both club and league records and qualify for the Olympic trials in June.

In the B race, Richard Baderin, another debutant, clocked 14.83. The previous league record was 15.13.

Durotoye was the male athlete of the match, while Radley’s Tara Kafke collected the ladies’ award after winning the 200 and 400m.

Radley also secured personal bests from Hayley Perrin in the long jump (5.56), Kathryn Woodcock in the discus (38.74), Amy Greenway in the 100m (12.82), Gina Sunderland in the 400m hurdles (67.20) and Rosie Kingston in the 100m hurdles (15.59).

Oxford City had little to cheer apart from three A String victories.

Ben Kelsey won the men’s discus with 43.88m, Jade Walker took the women’s 1,500m steeplechase in 5mins 41.69secs, while Danielle Anderson earned javelin victory with a throw of 40.15m.
