PAUL Fernandez literally rose to the challenge when winning the Dursley Dozen multi-terrain race in Gloucestershire.
The Abingdon Ambler won by more than two minutes over the 12-mile course, which included a 1600-foot climb.
He went up and down the Cotswold escarpment several times, including a climb called ‘the Precipice’ which is so steep that ropes are provided for some of the ascent.
