BEN West became the first Bicester runner to achieve a top-ten finish in the UK Inter-County Cross Country Championships at Loughborough.
Representing Oxfordshire, the teenager finished seventh in the under 17 men’s race.
In the under 13 boys’ event, Radley duo Johnny James and Quinn Miell-Ingram impressed when finishing 13th and 30th respectively.
BICESTER and Oxford City veteran David Kuester won five vet 70 medals at the British Masters Athletic Federation Indoor Track & Field Championships.
He collected silver in the hammer, shot and heavy hammer, as well as bronze in the discus and javelin.
Oxford City’s John Exley and Stewart Thorp won two medals apiece.
Exley took gold in the vet 70 1,500m and Thorp clinched silver in the vet 65 800m.
The former also came second in the 3,000m, with the latter matching that achievement in his age group.
Clubmate Brian Green took bronze in the vet 60 event.
THE first race of the Mota-vation Series takes place at Charlton-on-Otmoor on Thursday, April 26 at 7pm.

OXFORD City came third in the men’s race of the Teddy Hall Relays.
Alex Bampton ran their fastest leg in 22mins 31secs.
Oxford University won the event.
