FRANCES Briscoe sealed the Midland Women’s Cross Country League title with victory in the final round at Pittville Park, Cheltenham.
The 29-year-old, from Wantage, recorded a time of 21mins 49secs to pip Chloe Richardson (Birchfield) by four seconds.
Coventry Godiva Harrier Briscoe finished the campaign with three wins out of three, having earlier triumphed at Leamington Spa and Nuneaton.
- JAMES Bolton was the top vet 40 man in the Wokingham Half Marathon after his first sub 72-minute run.
The Woodstock Harrier recorded a personal best 1hr 11mins 14secs to take 15th place.
- BICESTER’S David Kuester was the first vet 65 in the SECTA Pre-Season Weight (Throws) Pentathlon Competition at Ewell Court with 2,886 points.
