FOOTBALL: KEA are on song

KEA marched into the second round of the Banbury District & Lord Jersey FA Coronation Cup with a 5-3 win at Cropredy.

Glen Holmes fired the visitors ahead after keeper Dan Smith blocked Ian Edge’s drive.

After the break, KEA went up a gear, with a Gordon Young brace and a Jon Crosthwaite strike making it 4-0.

KEA then allowed Cropredy to cut the deficit through Clark Berry and Luke Garder.

But Sam Donaldson made it 5-2 to end Cropredy’s hopes.

Rich Englishby scored a penalty for Cropredy, but it was too late.

KEA host Sinclair or Heyford Athletic in the next round.
