Steve Liquorish’s hopes of winning the Porsche GT3 Cup challenge title were dashed on a disappointing final weekend at Silverstone.
The Wantage driver finished sixth and fourth in the two races as James Birch took the title.
He said: “I was a little disappointed after a great qualifying ahead of all rivals, but at 46 years young, I am still happy with second overall.”
Final standings (top four): 1 J Birch 222pts, 2 S Liquorish 191, 3 J Sherwood 142, 4 J Ferguson 119.
