OXFORD City Men’s A started the Thames Valley Winter League season emphatically with two 8-0 wins against Woodstock B and Faringdon in Division 1.
Blewbury beat Mapledurham 8-0 and Woodstock 5-3 in the Ladies’ Premier Division.
- NORTH Oxford’s men have retained their place in the South West Eastern Division of the AEGON Regional Championships.
Draws for next year show Halton, Bucks were relegated and North Oxford will play promoted Salisbury and Windsor.
- OXFORD High beat Wycombe Abbey 5-1 in the girls’ Year 8 section of the AEGON National Schools Tennis Competition.
They will now face Cheltenham Ladies College for a place in quarter-finals in Bath on November 15 and 16.
Our Lady’s, Abingdon’s Year 10 team gained a walkover against Stroud High School.
St Birinus, Didcot face King’s School Winchester in the final knockout stage of the year 10 boys’ South West Region, while Abingdon School play Northampton Boys in the Midlands Region.
