RACING: Longsdon hosts open day

Charlie Longsdon throws open the doors of his Hull Farm Stables, near Chipping Norton, to the public on Sunday.

Longsdon, who clocked up an impressive tally of 69 winners last season, plans to parade around 75 horses at 11am followed by a schooling session with half a dozen horses.

Among those on show is set to be the promising hurdler Vulcanite, who has just been purchased by champion owner JP McManus.

Gates open at 10am, and there will be a nominal entry fee in aid of the charity, Racing Welfare.
