DARTS: Chequers are champions

Chequers were crowned the Summer League men’s champions following a 7-2 win at home to Corner House B.

It was the 12th victory of the season, for Chequers, but it was a very different story for Corner House, who are facing relegation after just one season in the top flight.

Cowley Workers Club’s 5-4 win at Goodlake Arms B leaves them three points clear at the top of Section 1 with just one game to play.

Three Horseshoes are the Section 2 champions and celebrated with a 7-2 win at Donnington Community Centre B.

Six Bells clinched the Section 4 title with a narrow 5-4 success at Marston RBL B – their 11th victory of the season.

Quarry Gate top Section 6 after a 7-2 victory in their last match over nearest rivals Nuffield Bar A, who trail by four points with just one game remaining.

The section 7 title will be won by Black Bull or Golden Ball.

Black Bull finished their season with a 6-3 win at Gladiators Social Club, while Golden Ball’s 5-4 win at Ampleforth Arms A leaves them three points behind with one game to play.

Crown House Club B are the Section 8 champions after a season in which they suffered just one defeat.

The ladies League Section 2 title-decider saw Donnington Community Centre A, who went into the match holding a two-point lead, keep their nerve to see off the challenge of hosts Folly Bridge Inn A 6-3 and take the crown.

Nuffield Lounge A’s 5-4 win over the visiting Red Lion was enough for them to clinch the Section 4 title.

All games must be completed by tomorrow.

Any matches played after these dates will be declared void.
