BANBURY Bulls bounced back from their opening day defeat to beat Bedworth 16-5 at Bodicote Park.
Wing Andrew Joubert kicked Banbury ahead with a penalty after a good spell of pressure.
No 8 and stand-in captain Simon Brand beat two defenders before off-loading for scrum half Joe Walton to score in the corner, with Joubert converting.
It was 13-0 at half-time, with Joubert slotting another penalty.
Bedworth managed a try, but Joubert’s third penalty sealed the spoils for Banbury.
