Oxford United fans want more on Rosenthal's exit

THE majority of Oxford United supporters want to know more about Jim Rosenthal’s resignation from the board, according to a poll on the Oxford Mail website.

Hundreds of people had their say online after the popular television sports presenter stepped down out of the blue on Monday.

The reasons behind the 64-year-old’s decision are unclear, with Rosenthal releasing only a short statement and the club refusing to make any official comment.

A total of 86 per cent of voters are keen for more information on the resignation.

The most popular single answer, with 60 per cent, was for supporters concerned about Rosenthal’s departure.

The remaining 14 per cent did not believe it would impact on the club’s progress, with eight per cent putting their faith in the way chairman Ian Lenagan is running the club.
