STEVE Naylor, from Woodstock, smashed the course record in winning the Peasemore Festival five-mile race.
The 33-year-old Bedford & County athlete completed the course in 25mins 44secs to beat the mark of 26.33 set by Oxford City’s Steve Male in 2008.
