CHEQUERS Inn A are within three points of the Greene King ODDA Men’s Premier Section title after a stunning 9-0 win over Corner House.

However, the Section 1 title is going down to the wire after leading Cowley Workers Social Club went down 6-3 at home to second-placed Goodlake Arms B.

The sides are now level on 49 points, with Cowley having a game in hand.

The Section 3 title will also be decided in the last week after leaders Marsh Harrier A won 6-3 away to Masons Arms A, thanks to singles victories from John Hollifield, Chris Kearney, Steve James and Gary Roberts.

Harrier lead by just a point from Vikings Social Club A, who defeated the visiting Bullnose Morris 8-1.

Six Bells are the Section 4 champions and celebrated with a 9-0 win over Marston British Legion B.

Section 6 leaders Nuffield Bar’s title hopes took a knock when they crashed to a shock 6-3 defeat to the visiting Quarry Gate B.

They now they now have just a two-points lead over Kings Arms.

Ladies’ Premier Section leaders Nuffield Bar crashed to a 6-3 defeat to Butchers Arms, leaving them just two points ahead of Florence Park Community Centre A, having played a game more.

Florence Park raced into a 3-0 lead at home to Section 1 leaders Village Inn with wins from Clare Bywaters, Michelle Ewins and Tina Hamilton.

The Villagers fought back to 3-3 thanks to Sam Moore, Katie Moore and Gemma Dumper, but the hosts edged home 5-4.
