SHAHBAZ Ali hit an unbeaten 73 as Horspath ended their frustrating season on a winning note and consigned visitors Cumnor to relegation.
The away side mustered 171 before being bowled out in the 50th over, with Matt Lake scoring 38 and Ali Morteza making 30.
Will Eason and Mark Skelton both finished with figures of 3-40.
Eason was then to the fore with the bat, hitting 48 as the hosts cruised home to 174-4 from 41 overs and so end Cumnor’s six-year stay in the top flight.
Victory proved in vain for Horspath, however, who ended the season unbeaten, but it was still not enough for promotion.

Great Brickhill finished third in their first season in Division 1 after they beat relegated Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts with ease.
Doug Aris bagged 5-39 and Garth Davson took 3-64 as Nondies were bowled out for 156.
Only Pablo Mukherjee (44) made much of an impression with the bat.
Davson (77) and Nick Cadman (47no) soon turned the run chase into a formality as Brickhill wasted little time in getting to 157-2 in 26 overs.

It was a similar story at Oxford Downs, where the home side overcame their relegated opponents in style.
An outstanding all round performance from Simon Watkins was the main feature of the match, as he took 6-56 in Bletchley Town’s 154 all out before hitting 60 in Downs’ reply.
James Ellwood top-scored with 68 not out as the hosts reached 155-4 in the 36th.

Sam Janes hit 45 as Leighton Buzzard Town made 155 all out at Buckingham Town.
Jack Parish was the pick of the home attack, taking 3-19.
The hosts suffered few alarms in reaching 156-5, of which Ashley Pearson contributed 58.
