OLYMPICS: Yamauchi pulls out of marathon

OXFORD'S Mara Yamauchi has pulled out of today's Olympic Marathon due to injury.

The 38-year-old former Headington Road Runner went through the 5km mark in 17mins 26secs, which was just behind the leaders.

But she appeared to pull up with an ankle problem before the 10km point and was in tears as she dropped out.
