ASTON Rowant captain Wesley Morrick is hoping for a quick return after suffering a hamstring tear.
Morrick will miss tomorrow’s Division 2 West trip to Farnham Royal, as will all-rounder Nick Ferraby, who is unavailable.
Rowant’s skipper picked up the injury as he bowled his eighth ball of the match.
“I stopped bowling straight away, so I may be back a bit sooner than I might have been,” said Morrick.
“There was no point in risking it further.
“Hopefully, I will only be out for a couple of weeks. It is feeling a bit better now.”
All-rounders Tom Needham and Adam Muttit come into the side – the latter for his debut – while Rowant will look for paceman Gordon Harris to lead the attack.
Morrick stressed losing to Slough last week had not dented confidence too much.
“We are still pretty much up,” said Morrick. “The wicket played into their hands as they had a few spinners.
“Hopefully we can get one back at their place.”
James Neilson replaces Nilesh Patel as Thame Town visit Slough looking to bounce back from their opening day defeat to Falkland.
Skipper Mike Higgs said: “It was a disappointing way to start, but the toss was crucial.
“If we had made 100 to 120, we would probably have come away with 25 points.
“We have got to forget about that and move on.”
Shipton-under-Wychwood hope to make their belated bow at Falkland after their home pitch was unfit for play last week.
“We are looking forward to it,” said captain Simon Hole.
“We have had a lot of practice this week, but nothing compares to playing games.”
