Oxford Hawks ladies held Conference East leaders Surbiton in a goalless first half at Banbury Road North before falling to four second-half goals.

Hawks looked well-organised, absorbing pressure and creating a few chances of their own.

After the break, Surbiton took the lead through a well-worked short corner.

Two more goals from Sandra Franklin, a Hawks player last season, and an excellent deflection for the fourth sealed it for the visitors.

Oxford were looking good in South Clubs League Division 3A when Lyn Cockshott put them a goal up at Wallingford after a well-worked move.

Cockshott and Laura Smyth linked well to create several other scoring opportunities, only to be denied by the Wallingford keeper.

The second half, however, was a different story as the home side equalised soon after the break, and added two goals in quick succession for a 3-1 win.

Bicester made to hard work of seeing off Wallingford 2-1 in Trysports Premier 2.

Wallingford broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time with an excellent reverse strike, prompting Bicester to bring up Lisa Ryan from central defence to add extra firepower in the second half.

She soon found the equaliser and Lilla Venning rounded the keeper for No 2.
