OXFORD University fly half Tom Mitchell has made a strong start to his England Sevens career with six tries in two world series events.
Mitchell grabbed three tries in Wellington, including one with the first touch of his debut, as England finished third.
The 22-year-old playmaker then repeated the trick in Las Vegas where England lost 21-19 to Argentina in the Plate semi-finals, having been beaten 12-7 by New Zealand in their Cup quarter-final.
Mitchell came off the bench to score against Argentina as England battled back from 21-7 down.
Centres Henry Purdy (Cokethorpe School and Chipping Norton) and Dylan Teasdale (The Oratory and Henley) will hope to impress in matches against the North and London & South East divisions.
The festival is the next stage in selection for the England under 18 squad.
