NORTH BERKS LEAGUE
DIDCOT Casuals progressed to the semi-final of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup with a thrilling 4-3 extra-time victory over Hellenic League Division 1 East side Lambourn Sports, writes Phil Annets.
The North Berks League side thought they were home and dry after JR Willis, Richard Knight and Lawrence Hoey had given them a 3-1 lead.
But Lambourn struck with two goals in injury-time to take the game to extra-time.
Despite having Lee Fuller sent off, Casuals went through thanks to Dan Cox-Rogers’s late winner.
- THE two remaining North Berks League sides in the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup faced each other in the fifth round with Division 2 Ardington & Lockinge running out comfortable 6-1 winners over their Division 3 opponents Coleshill United.
Chris Hunt struck twice alongside efforts by Jonny Eudell, Jamie Clark, Jonny James and Ben Sutton.
Richard Evans hit the consolation for Coleshill.
