Olly Wright took 5-14 in an outstanding 11-over spell as Banbury 2nd dismissed Long Marston for 47.

Ross Freeman helped Wright finish off the tail, taking 3-24.

Despite chasing such a low total, Banbury were made to sweat by Pete Toovey (4-27) before reaching 48-6.

Tiddington’s five-match winning streak ended with a draw at Challow & Childrey.

Sammy Thomson hit 119 as Tiddington amassed 281-6 from their 53 overs. Thomson added 110 for the first wicket with Darren Risden (32).

Challow opener Nigel Hume made 41, but four early wickets meant Luke Jones (64) and Ian Demain (65no) played for a draw at 224-5.

Abingdon Vale’s Henry Pickford (4-24) helped skittle ten-man Wolverton Town for 108, Michael Baker making 40.

Vale soon lost two wickets, but opener Will Barker (51no) and Graham Charlesworth (52no) took them to 112-2.

Aston Rowant 2nd finally tasted victory as they came out on top of their relegation dogfight with Banbury Twenty.

Michael Thomas took 5-28 to bowl Rowant out for 121, Dan Matthews hitting 41.

But Tim Foster took 5-32 and Ryan Chapman 3-18 as Twenty, who were deducted five points for failing to provide a scorer, were dismissed for 84.

Sandford St Martin earned a draw at Great Brickhill.

Martin Anson took 5-55 for Sandford, but Brickhill still reached 251-9 thanks to Colin Davison (76) and Nick Cadman (63).

Pete Hastings took 5-67 to keep Sandford well behind the required rate, but Thomas Goffe made 60 to help ensure the visitors avoided defeat on 170-8.
