Berinsfield, from Division 4, pulled off a shock 3-1 win at Division 2 side Bampton Town to reach the semi-finals of the North Berks League's War Memorial Cup, writes Phil Annetts.

David Murphy (2) and Chris Murphy netted for Berinsfield, Brian Wright replying.

Division 2 side Botley United thumped Ardington & Lockinge 7-2, thanks to a treble from Mark Simms.

Andy Potter, Kieran Ellis, Alex Morgan and Jake Penney were their other scorers.

It was sweet revenge for Botley, who lost to the same opponents in the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup the previous week.

Division 2 outfit Long Wittenham came from behind to win 2-1 at Division 3 side Sutton Courtenay, thanks to strikes by Chris Bowler and Adam Bailey.

Adam Oram had earlier given Sutton the lead.

Two goals from Jason Maynard and one by Tyrone McGill gave East Hendred Res a 3-0 win over their fellow Division 4 opponents Wantage Town A in their delayed North Berks League Cup quarter-final.

Meanwhile, AFC Wallingford staged a second-half revival to beat Drayton 5-1 in Division 1.

Billy Warner gave Drayton a 1-0 half-time lead, but doubles for Bradley Fraser and Rubin Pearson, plus a Tarome Hemmings strike completing the turnaround.

East Hendred thrashed Steventon 6-1 in Division 2, thanks Lewis Monaghan (2), Ben Sutton (2), Jonathan Hedges and Eamonn McGowran.

Stuart Coppock replied.

Hanney United moved off the bottom with a 4-3 win at Marcham, thanks to goals from Jamie Dutton (2), Craig Payne and Richard Hughes.

Dan Barnes, Matt Banks and Wes Coster (penalty), hit back for Marcham.

Dan Courtney grabbed a last-minute winner for Shrivenham A in their 3-2 triumph at Wootton & Dry Sandford Res in the only Division 3 clash to survive the deluge.

Harry Heath scored twice for the visitors, with Jon Dunbar and Chris Shahab netting for Wootton.

The other semi-final between Didcot Casuals and Woodley Town fell to a waterlogged pitch.
