Horspath Hammers’ riders made a big impression in the European Championships in Poland.
The top performance came from Mark Boaler, who flew in especially to represent England in the European Nations Cup.
Boaler scored 19 points, dropping his only point to Hammers teammate Mark Car-michael, who was representing Wales.
Carmichael finished with 16 points, with other Hammers members also starring.
Matuesz Szymczak was in the winning Polish team with 17 points, with Steve Harris scoring 13 for England.
Harris and Szymczak both made the European final.
Carmichael led the Euro Junior final with a race to go, but finished last in the finale.
l Rachel Edge top-scored for the south & south Wales team in the Women’s League Grand Prix in Manchester.
Edge dropped just one point in the 72-48 win over the north, and then won the over 16 event, with Hammers teammate Jessica Lamb second.
