The Berks Bucks & Oxon Golf Partnership are now recruiting for their 2011 Junior Academy programme.
Last year, more than 300 youngsters – up from 180 in 2008 – enrolled in 15 academy centres across the three counties.
For next year, the partnership are recruiting boys and girls from nine to 16 years old.
The programme is open to any young person – from those who have only experienced a “taster” at a club – to those who play regularly and have a handicap.
Three open recruitment days are being held. The second of these is at Hadden Hill on Wednesday, August 4.

In this competition for players with handicaps from 21 to 36, the Hadden Hill duo, representing Oxfordshire, scored 36 stableford points.
That was five behind winners Fiona Whittock and Tracey Ward (Droitwich), who qualified for the final at Kedleston Park, Derbyshire in September.
l THE Richard Pineo Shield, which is run by Five Star Events, is being held on Frilford Heath’s Blue Course on Friday, August 20.
The stableford competition is for teams of four (at £240 per team).
