Horspath Hammers begin the defence of the British Team Championship with a tough quarter-final tie at Poole tomorrow.

Returning for Horspath are Dave Carmichael (following a back injury) and Mike Morgans (resting), who join regular Premier League riders Steve Harris, Mark Boaler, Lewis Osborne, Chris Os-borne, Mark Carmichael and Shaun Rudman in the line-up.

Today, Hammers take a strong squad to Southampton for the Gold Cup. They will face Hellingly, East Newport, Newport, Poole and South-ampton.

Matty Szymczak returns from Polish League duty to join Mike Burgess, Steve Harris, Paul Gibbs and Matt Coulter in the Hammers team.

Last weekend, Horspath were third in the Junior League at Swindon, where there were Grand Prix A final successes for Jack Currell (under 8) George Horsley (under 10), Livvi Horsley (girls) and Rachel Edge (wo-men) Horspath went down 96-82 at Southampton on Sunday, des-pite two heat wins for 14-year-old Livvi Horsley.
